Vic Viper Bydo

It would appear as though the Vic Viper was captured by the forces of Byderian at some point. When the pilot of the R-9 freed the Vic Viper from the Space Battleship, rather than thanking the R-9, it attacked! Byderian had left its mark on the Vic Viper, and now the R-9 had to fight it: the Vic Viper Bydo.

Attack PatternsEdit

The Vic Viper seems to be about half-way powered-up, holding only two Options, normal Missiles, a reinforced Force Field, and depending on whether you're in front of or behind it, either Ripple Lasers or Twin Shots at you. The Options won't hurt you directly, but what it shoots will. The Twin Shots and Missiles can be blocked by your Force unit while the Ripple Lasers cannot.

The first task is to destroy the Force Field surrounding the Vic Viper. It can take a lot of punishment, but provided you're moderately powered, you should have no problem diminishing its impressive energy. Once you've taken down the Force Field, a couple more shots will put the Vic Viper Bydo down for the count.

Dark ViperEdit

Being the final boss of The Hole of Inferno mode, you might think that the Dark Viper would be all the more difficult to deal with. In actuality, he's just as easy as the original version, if not a little easier due to the fact he trades the Ripple Laser for the C-Laser! It also has two more Options, but essentially, it's an easier version of the same fight as before. Destroy the Force Field, destroy the Dark Viper, and you're done with Hard Boss Rush mode!
