Twin Vaif is a pair of Big Moai, and are the fourth boss in Gradius III SNES.
Much like the first Big Moai boss, they can spit out miniature Moai towards the player. The SNES version of Gradius III calls the pair Mega Monolith.
Their weakpoint is the mouth, and both must be killed to defeat them.
Unlike the original Arcade Boss, which consist of 6 Moai facing odd directions, Twin Vaif has been reduced to only two, keeping the same basic attack as Big Moai.
They can now occasionally cause Earthquakes, which makes loose rocks drop from the ceiling.
When one of them is killed, an additional Earthquake will happen, and even when the final one is eliminated, care must be taken to avoid their final attack, as this can still kill you.
