The Weapon Cards are special weapons introduced in Otomedius which you can get them from defeat enemies and expand your weaponry besides from the basic armament of each RV.
Basically, they're in each difficulty level, and repeating the first three loops (and sometimes four or five) you can get all the Weapon Cards. For getting a card you must complete the actual stage until the result screens displayed. If the game is over, the collected Weapon Card is lost until become to find it again and complete the stage.
Idaten Speed: Start with the slower speed and in the next Power-Up changes to the top speed. You must promote to Archangels 8th Grade for unlock.
Arpeggio Speed: Six-step system, three Speed-Ups and then three Speed-Downs. You must promote to Principalities 7th Grade for unlock.
Smooth Speed: Seven-step system for a precise Speed-Up system. You must promote to Powers 6th Grade for unlock.
R.Speed: Begin with the faster speed and the next power-ups are Speed-Downs. You must promote to Virtues 5th Grade for unlock.
Horizontal Speed: Twice the speed of lateral only. You must promote to Dominions 4th Grade for unlock.
Vertical Speed: Twice the speed of vertical direction only. You must promote to Thrones 3rd Grade for unlock.
D.Speed: You must promote to Cherubims 2nd Grade for unlock.
Missiles
Note: Level 3 doesn't exist.
Missile: The standard Missile from Gradius. It's found in Stage 5, Level 1 is equipped with Aoba Anoa, and Level 2 is found at Normal Loop 2.
Twin Missile: It's found in Stage 5, Level 1 is equipped with Erul Tron, Level 2 is found at Normal Loop 3.
Spread Bomb: From Gradius II, It's found in Stage 6. Level 1 is equipped with Esmeralda, although she is not unlocked. Level 2 is unlocked by getting an "S" Rank on Expert.
Flying Torpedo: A missile launched straight. It's found in Stage 1, Level 1 is equipped with Arnval, Level 2 is unlocked at Normal Loop 3, after rising from the sea, small "fishes" before the boss.
Photon Torpedo: A bomb dropped straight to the ground, based on R-Type Delta. It's found in Stage 4, Level 1 is unlocked by getting an "S" Rank on Normal, and Level 2 is unlocked at Normal Loop 2.
Rocket Punch: From Twinbee's weaponry in Parodius, It's found in Stage 2, Level 1 is equipped with Madoka and Level 2 is unlocked in Expert Loop 2. Look for the small enemies in the tunnel.
Eagle Wind: From Gradius III. It's found in Stage 4, Level 1 is equipped, and Lvl. is unlocked at Normal Loop 3 or 4 in the upper left side of the screen.
Homing Missile: A smart missile that tracks an enemy and destroys them. It's found in Stage 7, Lvl. 1 is equipped and Lvl. 2 is unlocked by getting a "S" Rank on Expert.
Vertical Mine: From Gradius IV, It's found in Stages 2 and 3. Lvl. 1 is unlocked by getting an "S" on Normal Loop 3, and Lvl.2 is unlocked by getting "S" in Expert Loop 2.
Napalm Missile: From Nemesis 2, a more effective version of Spread Bomb. Lvl. 1 is unlocked at Normal Loop 2 Stage 7 (a small enemy close to the beginning of the stage), and Lvl. 2 in Expert Loop 3 Stage 5.
Up Missile: Standard missile, but it fires in ascendant angle. Is found in Stage 6, Lvl. 1 is unlocked by getting "S" on Normal or Expert, and Lvl.2 in Normal Loop 2.
Small Spread: Or Back Spread Bomb. Lvl. 1 is unlocked in Loop 2 Stage 1, from the small fishes from the sea, and Lvl.2 is unlocked in Loop 3 Stage 1 or 4.
Rolling Missile: From Gradius Gaiden. Lvl. 1 is equipped with Poini Coon and Lvl.2 is unlocked in Stage 3 Expert Loop 2, after the route in the cave, just before confluence.
Search Missile: A missile that homes in a vertical direction. It's found in Stage 2. Lvl. 1 is unlocked by destroying the boss and Lvl.2 is unlocked at Loop 1.
2-Way Missile: Lvl. 1 is unlocked in Stage 2 Loop 2 Normal before the boss, nobody outside the top of the screen, Lvl. 2 is unlocked in Stage 5 Loop 3 Expert sandwiched around the middle of the fleet.
Floating Mine: A variation of the Vertical Mine for Gesshi Hanafuuma. Lvl. 2 is unlocked by getting "S" in Stage 1 Loop 1 or 10.
Bound: A bouncing mine. It's found in Stage 7, Lvl. 1 is unlocked by getting "S" on Normal or Expert, Lvl. 2 is unlocked in Normal Loop 2, the Gun Wall before Dark Force.
Parabola: A smaller Spread Bomb. It's found in Stage 4, Lvl.1 unlocked in Normal Loop 2 and Lvl. 2 unlocked by getting "S" on Expert.
Surface Missile: A real missile that can travel above the water. It's found at Stage 1, Lvl. 1 unlocked in Normal Loop 2, and Lvl.2 unlocked in Expert Loop 2, in the middle, the small fish come from behind of the hanging aircraft carrier.
Doubles
The auxiliar weapon found in various Gradius games, most of them are Standard shots in variated angles, and other are Optical Weapons like the Ripple Laser.
Standard Double: Basic, from Gradius. It's unlocked in Stage 4. Lvl. 1 is equipped with Anoa, Lvl.2 is unlocked by getting "S" on Normal, and Lvl. 3 is unlocked by getting "S" on Expert.
Ripple Laser: From Salamander. Lvl. 1 is equipped with Tron, Lvl.2 is unlocked in Normal Stage 3 Loop 3, and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Expert Stage 5 Loop 2.
Tail Gun: From Gradius II. It's found in Stage 1, Lvl. 1 is already unlocked, Lvl.2 is unlocked at Normal Loop 3, and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Expert Loop 3.
Reverse: Fires in the opposite direction of your movement. It's found in Stage 7, Lvl. 1 is already unlocked, Lvl.2 is unlocked at Normal Loop 3, and Lvl.3 is unlocked by getting an "S" in Expert.
Freeway: It's found in Stage 5, Lvl. 1 is unlocked in Loop 1, Lvl.2 is unlocked by getting "S" on Expert Loop 1, and Lvl.3 is unlocked by in Expert Loop 3.
3-Way: Lvl. 1 is unlocked by getting an "S" in Stage 1, Lvl.2 is unlocked in Stage 1 Expert Loop 2, and Lvl.3 is unlocked by in Stage 4 Expert Loop 2.
Reflex Ring: The cool weapon from Nemesis 2, fires a ring straight ahead and when impacts something hard it returns. It's found in Stage 3, Lvl. 1 is unlocked by getting an "S" on Normal, Lvl.2 is unlocked by getting "S" on Expert, and Lvl.3 is unlocked by in Normal Loop 3.
Vertical: Variation of double for a 90 degrees shot. Lvl. 1 is unlocked in Loop 3 Stage 2 after the fight with Tetran, Lvl.2 is unlocked by getting "S" in Stage 3, and Lvl.3 is unlocked by getting "S" in Loop 4.
Boomerang: From Thunder Cross. Lvl. 1 is unlocked in Easy Stage 1 Loop 1, Lvl.2 is unlocked in Normal Loop 2 Stage 1, and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Expert Stage 4 Loop 3.
Shotgun: Powerful weapon but it takes time for reload. It's found in Stage 1, Lvl. 1 is unlocked in Expert Loop 1, Lvl. 2 is unlocked in Easy Loop 1, or Normal-Expert Loop 2, Lvl.3 is unlocked in Normal Loop 3. Destroy the Batteries of Neko's Battleship.
Wiper: Lvl. 1 is unlocked in Normal Loop 1 Stage 2, Lvl.2 is unlocked by getting "S" on Stage 7 Expert, Lvl.3 is unlocked in Expert Loop 3 Stage 7 (red walking turret near first large walking turret).
Double Back: It's found in Stage 1, Lvl.1 is already unlocked, Lvl.2 is unlocked by getting "S" on Normal, and Lvl.3 is the same but in Expert.
Winder: Lvl. 1 is already unlocked, Lvl.2 is unlocked in Expert Loop 2 Stage 3, or getting "S" in Loop 6; Lvl.3 is unlocked in Normal Loop 3 Stage 4, trash fishes in the four pillars in front of the fracture zone.
V-Axis: Innovative weapon used for Vertical defense only. Lvl. 1 is unlocked in Normal Loop 2 Stage 4, Lvl.2 is unlocked in Normal Loop 3 Stage 2 after fight with Tetran; and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Expert Loop 3 Stage 1, after rising from the sea, enemies before the boss.
Round Laser: From Gradius Gaiden, it's not overpowered like in Otomedius G. Lvl. 1 is equipped with Esmeralda, Lvl.2 is unlocked by getting "S" in Expert Stage 7, and Lvl.3 is unlocked by getting "S" in Expert Stage 8.
Reverse Double: Lvl.1 is unlocked in Normal Stage 2 Loop 2; Lvl.2 is unlocked in Expert Loop 1 Stage 5; Lvl.3 is unlocked in Loop 3 Stage 2, destroy the accelerated small fry after the Tetran.
Auto-Aiming Rail Gun: From Gradius Gaiden, but a weaker version different from the game. Lvl. 1 is equipped with Poini Coon, Lvl.2 unlocked by getting "S" in Expert Stage 1; and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Loop 3 Stage 4, enemies on the waterfall.
Triple Blade: For Gesshi Hanafuuma, Lvl. 1 is equipped with her, Lvl.2 is unlocked in Stage 4 Loop 2 Normal, and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Stage 4 Loop 2 Expert.
Lasers
The most powerful weapon against enemy fleets and cores.
Normal Laser: From Gradius, a powerful laser shot straight ahead with Winder capabilities. Lvl. 2 is unlocked in Stage 2 Loop 1 Normal, and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Stage 2 Loop 2 Expert.
Vulcan: It's found in Stage 7, Lvl. 1 is equipped with Madoka, Lvl.2 is unlocked by getting "S" on Expert and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Normal Loop 2, the fort wall before Dark Force.
Cyclone Laser: From Salamander MSX, a version of the Laser with Drill capabilities. Lvl.1 is equipped with Erul Tron, Lvl.2 is unlocked in Stage 6 Expert with "S" rank, and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Stage 6 Loop 2 Normal.
Twin Laser: Two lasers for more power. It's found in Stage 5, Lvl. 1 is equipped with Arnval, Lvl.2 is unlocked in Normal Loop 1, and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Expert Loop 2.
Napalm Shot: Based in the weapon of Pentarou, It's found in Stage 3. Lvl.1 is unlocked in Normal Loop 2, Lvl.2 is unlocked in Expert Loop 2 and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Expert Loop 3.
Wave Shot: Based in the Wave from Darius and Thunder Force III, but a weaker version of that one. It's found in Stage 3. Lvl.1 is unlocked in Normal Loop 2, Lvl.2 is unlocked in Expert Loop 2, and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Expert Loop 3, just before the volcanic lava area.
Fire Blaster: Based from Nemesis 2, strong weapon as long you keep the heat on. It's found in Stage 3. Lvl.1 is unlocked by getting "S" on Normal; Lvl.2 is unlocked in Normal Loop 2; and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Normal Loop 3, before the volcanic lava zone, after the Wave shooter.
Gravity Bullet: The strongest weapon of Gradius Gaiden returns with Poini Coon; Lvl.1 is unlocked by getting "S" in Stage 8 Easy or Expert (Attention to Dark Force weapons). Lvl.2 is unlocked by getting "S" in Stage 4 Normal, and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Stage 4 Expert Loop 4.
Search Laser: Based from Xexex, but this version only homes to the enemies one time, so it's more similar to Image Fight laser. It's found in Stage 1; Lvl.2 is unlocked in Easy Loop 1, or getting "S" in Expert Loop 2; and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Normal Loop 2, in the battery of Neko's battleship.
Up Laser: Based from Nemesis 2. Lvl.1 is unlocked by getting "S" in Expert Stage 3; Lvl.2 is unlocked by getting "S" in Expert Stage 2; and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Stage 2 Loop 3 Expert.
Down Laser: Also from Nemesis 2 too. Using this laser will cancel the Missiles. Lvl.1 is unlocked in Stage 4 Loop 1 Normal; Lvl.2 is unlocked by getting "S" in Expert Stage 3; and Lvl.3 is unlocked by getting "S" in Stage 8 Expert.
Energy Laser: The same laser from Gradius III and V, a good replacement for a Super Laser of other shmups. It's found in Stage 5. Lvl.1 is unlocked in Normal Loop 1; Lvl.2 in Expert Loop 4; and Lvl.3 in Expert Loop 5.
Ion Ring: It's found in Stage 7 and 8. Lvl.1 is unlocked by getting "S" in Expert Stage 7; Lvl.2 is unlocked in Stage 7 Loop 2 Expert, in the upper and lower lift stations, like the ones in Gradius Rebirth Last Stage, small enemies from behind will rise in a later turret, I suggest a weapon like Esmeralda's Round Laser or Hanafuuma's Nendoha Lvl.3. And Lvl. 3 is unlocked by getting "S" in Expert Stage 8.
Aqua Laser: This laser creates a ripple of energy when impacts on a target, and we really suffer for find this weapon. It's found in Stage 4. Lvl 2 is always found in Loop 1; and Lvl.3 is unlocked by destroying the Vertical movement barrier of the Old Bigcore on Loop 3 Normal, you need to destroy it with something hard like Shotgun laser, Gravity Bullet or Pulse Laser.
Armor Piercing: Based from Gradius IV but this version reloads really slow. It's found in Stage 7. Lvl.1 is unlocked in Normal Loop 3; Lvl.2 is unlocked in Expert Loop 4; and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Expert Loop 5. Lvl 1 & 3 can be found in a high part of the fortress after the first stage direction change. Lvl 2 is found after the speed run before facing the boss barrier. Purchase of Strarf DLC character also unlocks Lvl.1.
Dagger: A stronger version of the A.P for Gesshi Hanafuuma. It's found in Stages 3 and 4. Lvl.2 is unlocked in Stage 4 Loop 3 Normal; and Lvl.3 is unlocked by getting "S" in Stage 3 Expert Loop 2.
Pulse Laser: A personal variation of the Twin Laser of Esmeralda in Gradius Gaiden, but this is a powerful one. Lvl.2 is unlocked in Stage 2 Loop 1; and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Stage 6 Loop 1.
Back Laser: A stronger version of the Back Beam. Lvl.1 is unlocked by getting "S" in Stage 5 Normal; Lvl.2 is unlocked in Stage 7 Loop 2 Expert; and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Stage 5 Loop 2 Expert.
Nen-Do-Ha: Telekinetic Wave. A special weapon for Gesshi Hanafuuma only. Lvl.2 is unlocked by getting "S" in Stage 7 Loop 2 Normal; and Lvl.3 is unlocked in Stage 5 Loop 2 Expert. This weapon has the effect to extinguish the small circle-bullets from enemies.
Hyper Anoa's Weaponry
The special weapons of the Metalion are unlocked by leveling up Hyper Anoa until the highest rank.
Back Beam: Lvl.2 is unlocked by promoting Anoa to Archangels; and Lvl.3 is unlocked by promoting Anoa to Dominions.
Up Laser: Lvl.2 is unlocked by promoting Anoa to Angels; and Lvl.3 is unlocked by promoting Anoa to Thrones.
Down Laser: Lvl.2 is unlocked by promoting Anoa to Virtues; and Lvl.3 is unlocked by promoting Anoa to Cherubims.
