Goemon Compact (ゴエモンコンパクト, Goemon Konpakuto) is the fourth boss in Jikkyō Oshaberi Parodius.

Description

A guest boss from the Ganbare Goemon series, Goemon Compact appears as the boss of the fourth stage in Jikkyō Oshaberi Parodius. In the SNES version, it changes into a woman's head, while in the PSX/Saturn port it changes to Ebisumaru's head. It is a Goemon head inside a cosmetic powder compact.

Attack patterns

In the SNES version, it will spit out bombs (with the face of Ebisumaru) at the player. In the PSX/Saturn version, it spits out six bombs which will create pillars of fire when they hit the ground and will do a charge attack following the player. Once it changes to Ebisumaru, he will spit out bubbles which will bounce this makes it hard for player to evade.

Once it is defeated in the SNES version, the announcer will say: "Omae wa mo shinderu!" ("You are already dead!") with a voice similar to Fist of North Star's Kenshiro, before Compact hides back in the shell and flies away while holes on its sides start blowing smoke. If it is destroyed in the PlayStation/Saturn versions, it will shrink until it explodes.

Notes

• If played on the ZSNES emulator, the game may crash shortly after the announcer says "Omae wa mo shinderu!", sometimes followed by a high pitched kettle-like whistle.
